How does a penny auction differ from a traditional auction site?

Traditional auctions usually have a final price near, or at, market value. Penny auctions, on the other hand, often have a final price of 90% (or more!) off market value. How is that possible? Traditional auction sites don't charge for each bid placed, BidBlink charges a small fee for each bid (as low as 40¢).

How does BidBlink differ from the other Penny Auction sites?

BidBlink is different in two important ways. First, BidBlink offers reverse penny auctions. Second, BidBlink bids can cost as little as 40¢ compared to as much as $1 per bid at other sites.

What is a reverse penny auction?

Let's start off by explaining what a traditional penny auction is. Traditional penny auctions will start a price off at $0 or $0.01. For every bid placed, the price increases by 1¢. A reverse penny auction is basically the same, but instead the price starts at a discounted price and goes down with every bid.

Why are bids as low as 40¢?

At BidBlink, we don't want you to have to spend $1 per bid to enjoy this new style of auction. We want you to be able to try out different strategies without spending a lot during the process.

Are penny auction sites scams?

No, penny auction sites are not scams. The deals do seem too good to be true, which is why some people jump to this conclusion. As long as you understand how a penny auction works, then you can win some great deals on brand new products. Of course, as in any industry, there are some companies that use questionable practices. When you choose to use a penny auction site, we strongly recommend you search the web for reviews of the site prior to bidding.

Why do I see some of the same people winning many items?

Our users keep getting good deals because there isn't a lot of competition. This makes it easy to get great deals again and again. Once you realize how easy it is to win, your name will show up again and again as well.

What do I do if I think someone is scamming?

BidBlink and its staff are committed to delivering exceptional deals while maintaining the strongest of ethics. If you ever see any questionable behavior on BidBlink, please contact us immediately so we can investigate your concern.

How much does it cost to bid?

Each bid costs 40¢ on BidBlink. Compared to the other leading penny auction sites, BidBlink is by far the most inexpensive way to participate in the hottest new style of auctions.

How do I buy bids?

To buy bids, you must first sign up for an account. After signing up, simply click on the "My Account" button on the top of any page. Then click on the "Buy Bids" button and choose the bid package you want. It's that easy!

What are bonus bids?

We give out bids from time to time, like when you sign up. These bids are called Bonus Bids. They can be used to win an auction but cannot be used to get a discount if you lose. Follow us on Facebook and Twitter as a great way of getting Bonus Bids! Some of the bids we give out with promotions have expiration dates. If the bonus bids you get have an expiration, you should clearly be notified in your account history.

How do I win?

You have to place a bid to win! If you are the last bidder on an auction when the time runs out, then you win that auction. When an auction ends, you will clearly see that you won.

What do I get if I lose an auction?

Every bid you place will get you a 40 cent discount off the displayed retail price. For example, if you were bidding on a $50 item and you placed 10 bids, you would have the option of buying the item for $50 minus $4 (40 cents per bid x 10 bids) plus shipping if you lose the auction. In other words, if you put in a bid worth 40 cents, you get 40 cents off. We have removed the risk from penny auctions. Please read our How it Works to get more details on the Buy Now opportunity. Also note that we do not apply any Bonus Bids towards your discount.

How much is shipping?

Shipping costs vary from auction to auction. The shipping cost can be found on each auction's details page in the "Payments/Delivery Information" section.

If I win an auction, what do I do next?

After winning an auction, click on the "My Account" button on the top of any page. On the left side, click on "Won Auctions". Simply follow the steps provided to pay for your item and shipping.

After I win an auction, how long does it take to ship?

We will do our best to ship the item immediately. However, if we can't get the item out right away, we will ship the item within two weeks.

Are the products sold on BidBlink new?

All products sold on BidBlink are brand new, unless otherwise clearly noted.

Where does BidBlink get the items from?

We purchase the items sold on this site from reputable vendors such as Target, Walmart, Southwest, and Amazon.com. Because we are giving out such great deals, we are always looking for the best price on our approved vendors list.

What are NailBiter auctions?

NailBiter auctions only allow Single Bids to be placed. Auto-bids cannot be placed by any user. These auctions are generally fast-paced and end quickly.

How does auto-bid work?

Choose how many bids you want automatically placed for you, and BidBlink will do the rest. If there are no other Auto-Bidders at the time your Auto-Bid is placed, BidBlink will place a bid automatically every time another user places a bid. Just like a single bid, when there are less than 45 seconds remaining BidBlink will add 15 seconds to the time left for every Auto-Bid placed. If there is more than one Auto-Bidder bidding at the same time, each Auto-Bidder will place 1 bid every few seconds. This is done to speed up the bids placed by Auto-Bidders that are bidding against each other.

I placed a bid but it's not showing me as the highest bidder, why?

Sometimes bids are placed at almost the same time by different bidders. Depending on who placed their bid last, they will be the highest bidder. You can always see your bid placed within the bid history on the right portion of the Auction Details screen.

Is there a limit on the number of auctions I can win?

BidBlink has a win limit of three per week (Saturday to Friday). The weekly limit is reset after the last auction on Friday. It is possible to win more than three items per week if a bid is placed on an auction prior to the third win of the week *and* nobody places a bid following that bid. You can see how many items you have won for the week on your "My Account" page.

Where do you ship to?

We currently only ship items to the United States.

Can I return an item?

As long as you have not opened the item, you may return the item within 2 weeks. If you have opened the item, and there is a product defect, please call us and we will help facilitate the return of the item to the vendor or the manufacturer for a replacement.

Can I get a refund for an item I won on BidBlink?

Yes, you can get a full refund of the purchase price. Unfortunately, we cannot refund any shipping charges incurred or credit any bids used to win the item.

Can I get a refund for bids I purchased?

BidBlink does not allow refunds for any placed bids. In addition, refunds for Bonus Bids are not permitted.
